COMPLEX: Tonio Armani Performs "Money (That's What I Want)" Live | Still Lounge

Ernie Barnes’ Sugar Shack, one of the most iconic paintings in pop culture, has lived many lives. From the end credits of ‘Good Times’, and Marvin Gaye’s “I Want You” cover art, to inspiring the poster for the 2025 Academy Award–nominated film ‘Sinners.’ Rooted in the cultural legacy of this 1976 masterpiece and the renewed love for 1960s in-house band studio sessions, we introduce the Still Lounge: an intimate space where artists deliver soulful performances under the musical direction of Anderson .Paak and the direction of Fatima Robinson, recorded live at the historic Henson Studios in Los Angeles. We bring you Columbus, Georgia’s own Tonio Armani, with a voice that’s lived-in, not manufactured. He steps into the Still Lounge to deliver his rendition of Barrett Strong’s “Money (That’s What I Want).”
