National recording artist Tonio Armani returns to Columbus for Lions home opener
Singer-songwriter performed at halftime and received proclamation declaring ‘Tonio Armani Day’
COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - National recording artist Tonio Armani returned to his hometown to perform at the Columbus Lions arena football season home opener.
Armani, who was born and raised in Columbus, sang the national anthem and performed at halftime. Local leaders presented a proclamation from the city declaring the day “Tonio Armani Day.”
The singer-songwriter, who served a decade in the Army, performed four songs at halftime alongside his alma mater Carver High School marching band. Armani is known for hit songs including “Country Girl.”
